Digital Account Manager

Squiz is a young, exciting and growing company based in Shoreditch, London. With offices in Australia, New Zealand and Europe and plans to expand into America and Asia this year. We consult, build and manage engaging websites and online applications using our open source Web Experience Management Suite, the Squiz Suite. Our clients include many household names and range from large global organisations to Government bodies and charities.

Responsibilities

Main responsibility will be to build relationships with a portfolio of clients by gaining an understanding of their business and objectives and ensuring Squiz provides services and solutions that exceed their expectations.

Tasks are likely to be many and varied, typical examples include:

  • Discovering opportunities and writing winning proposals
  • Ensuring Squiz client services documentation is delivered at the highest standard
  • Development of strategic insight and recommendations
  • Preparing and delivering presentations
  • Writing case studies/project reviews
  • Client liaison and management

Requirements

To be a great Digital Account Manager you will need to posses these basic capabilities: 

  • Excellent writing skills
  • The ability to run a meeting and negotiate deliverables
  • An understanding of digital strategy and how it is applied to a wide variety of businesses

However, to be an exceptional Digital Account Manager you will also need: 

  • An inquisitive nature – ability to research, understand, evaluate opportunities and solve problems
  • Be self motivated and able to work without close supervision, managing your own workload
  • Comfortable developing and discussing your own ideas
  • Comfortable presenting and selling ideas to clients
  • Have great interpersonal skills and the ability to manage client relationships
  • Be focused on delivering projects on time and to a high standard
  • Be able to manage others (junior/senior/internal/external)
  • Understanding of fundamental digital marketing strategies
  • Ability to generate revenue and new project opportunities through existing client relationships

Qualifications:

  • A Marketing, Business or Digital Media  focused Degree.
  • Post-graduate qualifications such as Chartered Institute of Marketing certificate or Masters Degree are not required but would be a definite advantage

Essential Experience

  • A Minimum of three years experience working in digital or interactive marketing. 
  • Experience working either client side or in an agency/consultancy
  • Expert knowledge of most major online marketing techniques including PPC, SEO, email, affiliates, advertising etc.
  • Awareness and Understanding of web analytics and metrics
  • Experience of specifying websites and content briefs would be a distinct advantage
  • Although we are not looking to fill a technical role a basic understanding of online technologies would be an advantage (HTML, XML, etc) 

Experience in the following would put you at an advantage:

  • Creating and managing blogs.
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Email Marketing
  • Campaign Planning
  • Information Architecture
  • Affiliate Marketing
