Web Technical Consultant

Due to exceptional and ongoing demand for our web experience management suite, we are seeking a Web Technical Consultant to join the team in our Edinburgh office.

Job Description

The role will involve working within a team to perform some or all of the following:

  • Delivery of industry-leading web solutions that support millions of users, define new ways of consuming content and provide innovative or surprising customer experiences.
  • Contribute to different phases of the development lifecycle, from strategy and planning to design, build, test, deploy using a variety of methodologies from Waterfall to Agile.
  • Design and implementation of eCommerce, social media, corporate collaboration and consumer portal architectures across an exciting range of cutting-edge devices and platforms.
  • Planning, designing and building the multi-platform web applications and Content Management products with other standard software products.
  • Business development and requirements analysis.
  • Working with clients across a wide range of different industries to deliver internet services, including many of the world's biggest brand-names.

This role will be based primarily in the Edinburgh office but candidates must be willing to travel.

Qualifications

Useful skills include:

  • Programming: Expert skills in JQuery,YUI, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Knowledge in PHP, XML and XSL-T.
  • Previous experience with enterprise class content management systems.
  • E-Commerce integrations.
  • Social media integrations such as FBML implementation and App development.
  • Search and Search Engine Optimisation.
  • Information architecture for devices such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Android Tablet, WebOS, Blackberry, Symbian, and PS3.

Professional Requirements:

  • Proven ability to apply analytical and creative thought.
  • Proven ability to deliver high profile activities to tight timescales.
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel
