First Up Zero 7. Bring on Madonna!
London, UK, 20th April 2006
Squiz UK, in partnership with leading media planning agency Media Campaign, today announced that it will provide a series of new promotional web sites for Warner Music.
The agreement kicks off today with the launch of a new site for top electronica outfit, Zero 7, to promote their new album 'The Garden.' The project is the first deliverable of an ongoing relationship with Media Campaign Interactive and Warner Music Group, and is designed to increase album sales via online music retailers such as iTunes, Napster and Amazon.
Squiz has developed its market-leading open souce CMS, MySource Matrix to produce an easily extensible web site publishing 'factory' that will allow Warner Music to quickly and easily create new promotional sites to coincide with future releases from its stable of artists.
Bottom line objective is to generate more revenue from online channels, and the new system now enables Warner Music to drive down its promotional costs by providing a one-stop home for all of its main online activity. In the future, all online and offline album release promotional material will carry a unique url to point consumers to a single web property that contains detailed track information, the ability to subscribe to future offers and links to online retail channels. The new MySource Matrix system enables Time Warner to implement new sites within a day, and at very low cost.
