Squiz Breakfast Seminar: Funnelback Internet and Enterprise Search
Date: Wednesday 31st March, 2010
Time: 09:30 - 13:30
Venue: Cheyneygates, Westminster Abbey, London
On Wednesday the 31st of March, Squiz is holding an exclusive breakfast seminar to promote discussion of current issues related to Internet and Enterprise Search and to demonstrate our unique search solution, Funnelback Search. The event will be hosted by our Managing Director, Steven Morgan, and will feature case study presentations from the London School of Economics and the Electoral Commission.
The agenda for the seminar will include:
- Case study presentations from the Electoral Commission and the London School Of Economics demonstrating the improvements they have made to their website search with Funnelback.
- David Hawking, Funnelback's Chief Scientist, will present a talk entitled "Getting Value from the Search Master's Toolbox". This talk will cover the role of the Search Master within an organisation. In all but the smallest organisations the Search Master can make very significant contributions to revenue, productivity, mental equilibrium and the degree to which the organisation achieves its mission. All this by ensuring that people, be they customers, employees, students, clients, or members of the public, can more easily find the information or service they need. A number of case studies will show information retrieval ideas in action and demonstrate how an appropriate set of tools can make the Search Master more effective and more productive.
- A demonstration of Funnelback and its features.
- The opportunity to ask questions about the software and solutions offered by Squiz and search related issues in general.
Breakfast will be provided and the seminar will be rounded off with an informal Q&A session with each of the speakers and Squiz staff.
