Time: 9.30am - 16.30pm
Venue: Australia House, London UK

At 9.30am on Thursday 2nd July, Squiz is hosting an exclusive CMS panel debate with Gartner, Econsultancy and the World Health Organization to discuss the future direction of the Enterprise Web Content Management marketplace, and how buying and usage patterns are set to change as the UK economy navigates its way through a recession.

The event will take place at Australia House in the heart of London's West End and space is limited to 150 seats.  Entrance is free and the agenda will run from mid morning to mid afternoon.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • How to minimise risks during project evaluation, development and implementation

  • The role of Open Source solutions in a highly value-conscious market

  • How commercially licensed CMSs are set to evolve

  • How Open Source CMS models are developing to address enterprise functional and support requirements

  • How best to evaluate, procure and implement an enterprise Web CMS

The Future of Web Content Management Debate. Join Gartner, Econsultancy and the World Health Organization: London, July 2nd, 9.30am.

The agenda will include:

  • A presentation from Mick MacComascaigh, Research Director, Gartner, on best practices for web site planning, the creation of functional specifications, and keeping a lid on costs
  • The launch of a new market research report from Econsultancy that examines current CMS buyer trends.  Linus Gregoriadis, Research Director at Econsultancy will unveil results from the report, which examines procurement preferences, project goals, and functional requirements from just under 1,000 recent Enterprise Web CMS implementations across the UK
  • A talk from David Barrett, Web Platform Manager at The World Health Organization, Regional Office for Europe, on best practice in Enterprise Web CMS evaluation and how Supported Open Source CMS solutions like MySource Matrix are providing compelling value in large production environments
  • A discussion led by Steve Morgan, MD of Squiz UK, about how Supported Open Source solutions can deliver better value and functionality in the current economic climate

In addition, all speakers will take part in an afternoon 'Open Mike' panel debate session where the future of enterprise CMS development will be discussed and driven by questions from the floor.  The goal for this debate is to weigh up the pros and cons of choosing an Open Source solution and to review the relative merits of like-for-like commercially licensed CMS solutions in the enterprise sector.

Lunch will be provided and the session will be rounded off in the afternoon with drinks and a networking session for all delegates.
