University of Bedfordshire

The University of Bedfordshire is a modern, vibrant university in touch with the needs of students, staff and employers alike, and has a growing, global reputation.

The University of Bedfordshire's new website provides an optimal user experience with a contemporary, mobile-friendly design, powerful course finder and intuitive information architecture. The bold, modern design has been built to adapt to the user's browser and device using an approach known as "Responsive Web Design". The elements of the pages are flexible and shift as the browser width changes, ensuring that page layout is optimal and the site is usable, regardless of the user's device. This approach means that the University has only one site to maintain and no longer needs a separate mobile site or application

Bromley Healthcare

As a continued member of the NHS, but also a new Social Enterprise in its own right, Bromley Healthcare needed a strong brand direction that was trustworthy and reassuring, whilst appearing modern and above all friendly and approachable. Squiz worked closely with Bromley's print design agency to deliver a website with an important message, focused largely around the new benefits available to residents of Bromley and the community services they provide.

A large part of the website's success was due to the extensive work done on analysing user requirements and journeys to ensure the information they needed was easily locatable and directly relevant - something that can be crucial when considering the nature of information pertaining to healthcare, and the urgency with which it can potentially be required.

Brunel University

Like all universities, Brunel's audience is extremely diverse, including staff, students (future, past and present), parents, the media, and the general public. The challenge of providing a suitable user experience to such a diverse audience, coupled with the vast amounts of information contained within the site, makes Brunel University an excellent example of the kind of Design and Information Architecture project that Squiz excel at. Our process-led design and technical knowledge of large-scale CMS projects, from inception to completion, is how we're able to help clients like Brunel to realise their online potential.

Oxford Union

Squiz have a long history with both the Oxford University and the Oxford Union, having designed and built numerous websites for them both over the years. The redesign of the Union's site includes a number of key features to help them recruit, inform and interact with their members. It's now possible to become a member of the Union via the website, keep up-to-date with all the latest news and view upcoming events to stay informed about forthcoming speakers.

Creatively, the Union wanted to incorporate the latest CMS features with a look and feel that reflected the 178 years of heritage it enjoys. This renowned institution now has an online presence that is fitting of it's contemporary importance.

Funnelback Search

Funnelback’s search engine technology helps users find the information they need faster. Millions of people use Funnelback every week on websites and within organisations around the world. Squiz were commissioned to design a website fitting of Funnelback's industry-leading status, with a clean, contemporary look and feel, and offering a first-rate user experience and, of course, an advanced yet intuitive site search process.

Brighton University - Faculty of Arts

University of Brighton's historic Faculty of Arts provides a stimulating environment for study in the creative and performing arts, design and the humanities. The faculty supports a wide range of international contacts, academic partnerships and business sponsorship .

NanoReTox

NanoReTox is a 4 year project which started officially in December 2008. The project’s objectives are to identify the potential risks to the environment and human health posed by free engineered (i.e. manmade) nanomaterials

Institute for Learning - IfL

The Institute for Learning (IfL) is the professional body for teachers, trainers, tutors and trainee teachers in the further education and skills sector, including adult and community learning, emergency and public services, further education colleges, Ministry of Defence and the armed services, the voluntary sector and work-based learning.

Shelter

Shelter is a charity that works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing. They provide advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and campaign for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good.
